How to choose the CBD product that’s right for you

Whether you are brand new to CBD or you’re a seasoned veteran who has been using CBD for years, we all have one thing in common: the first time.  We all have had that experience of looking at a variety of CBD products for the first time- gummies, tinctures, capsules, dab wax, pre-rolls, vapes, CBD infused drinks, edibles, etc – and wondering “What product works the best? How do I use this? What strength should I take?” 

The process of looking at a store shelf or an online website and trying to select one product from the hundreds available is a daunting task.  Without being able to ask someone questions, choosing the right CBD product can seem overwhelming and stressful… especially if you want to try CBD to relieve stress and anxiety!

Fortunately, there is a lot of guidance and information available to help you choose the perfect CBD product for your individual needs.  

First, we suggest reading the educational information on most CBD websites.  The FAQ section answers almost all the most common questions asked by people about CBD.  In the FAQ, you can find descriptions of different CBD products, how to use them, and what milligram is recommended.  Then you can look specifically at the products that interest you and learn detailed information on them.

Second, you can ask about CBD at a local store that sell CBD.  If you have a health food store, vitamin shop, pharmacy or vape shop near you, there’s a good chance they sell CBD products.  Feel free to ask the sales associate or store employee for information on popular CBD products and how to choose the right one.  Many store employees have tried CBD products themselves and can provide valuable information about what type of CBD product to try.

Also, choose a product that meets your needs and you feel comfortable using.  If you are having trouble sleeping, maybe you want to try a capsule that was formulated with CBD and other natural ingredients to help you sleep.  If you have mild anxiety and stress, you might want to try a tincture (CBD oil that you take orally).   If you have inflammation or discomfort in a specific area of the body, CBD topicals (creams, balms, and roll-ons applied to the skin directly) can be a great way to relieve aches and pains.

Finally, most CBD products specify the CBD strength on the package.  The “strength” refers to the total cannabinoids in the product and/or the milligrams of cannabinoids per serving.  When first trying CBD, you may want to try a lower milligram strength in order to evaluate the effect it has on you.  As you feel the benefits of CBD, you can try increasing strength until you find your optimal CBD dosage.
